JM

He digs dungeons on his own
Paraphrases blurbs and keeps the candles glowing all night long
Just a fuzzy afterthought
Gets him shallower, allows the rain to reunite the drops

Staring up to feel the magic brush of nature on his skin
To revive a story well-forgotten but alive within

And she takes him on her deck
Lies back, smiles and there the sun emerges, he is out of track
Running fingers through his hair
Just a part of something beautiful and slow that they both share

Friends discover them and yet
The playful looks are something no one else imagines they’d regret

All this time he dropped down crumbs to find his way back underground
Zipped up decently and trying not to blow away the clouds
A fantastic holiday
Feels as though the night is closing in, the candles all await

And he takes her on their deck
She lies back, smiles and there the sun emerges, they are out of track
Running fingers through her hair
Just a part of something beautiful and slow that they both share
